The inaugural Organic Festa Asia is set to take place from September 3 to 5, 2025, at the Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC). With the theme “Organic, A Sustainable Future”, the inaugural trade fair will comprehensively span the entire organic value chain—from the organic industry support systems, such as equipment, technology, inputs, and training, to organic production, processing, distribution, trade, and personal consumption. The event aims to reflect the scale of the organic industry in Asia and China, fostering sustainable growth through innovation and technology, while promoting an organic-centered, sustainable lifestyle. Ultimately, it seeks to deliver high-quality organic products to better meet consumer needs.
According to the China Organic Product Certification and Organic Industry Development Report (2024), China’s organic sector has seen robust growth, surpassing RMB 100 billion in sales by 2023, marking a 61% increase compared to 2018. With an impressive annual growth rate of 9.3% over the past six years, China now stands as the third-largest organic consumer market globally.
Joining Forces for an Organic Future

IFOAM - Organics Asia (International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements - Organics Asia)
IFOAM - Organics Asia was established on November 24, 2012, in Seoul, South Korea, authorized by IFOAM headquarters. It serves as the regional autonomous body responsible for promoting organic agriculture across Asia, and has made significant contributions to the development of organic agriculture in the region. IFOAM - Organics Asia currently has corporate and organizational members from 25 countries across Asia. Its primary activities include industry standards research, knowledge exchange and collaboration, policy consulting, talent training, technical exchange, market research, and business liaison services for international and Asian organic-related enterprises.
Since 2013, IFOAM - Organics Asia has prepared for the formation of the Asian Local Governments for Organic Agriculture (ALGOA), which was officially established in 2015. ALGOA aims to promote organic agriculture policies and government-led organic trade exchanges among national and local governments in Asia. Since its establishment, ALGOA has garnered over 250 local government members and has attracted attention from governments and organic industries on four other continents. In 2019, in collaboration with the European Organic Districts Organization and the UN Organic Food Program, IFOAM - Organics Asia co-founded the Global Alliance of Organic Districts (GAOD) to further drive organic industry development and international cooperation led by local governments.
Each year, ALGOA organizes specialized organic agriculture training courses for local government officials and IFOAM members. In 2016, during one of these training sessions, the IFOAM Asia Organic Youth Forum was founded through the joint efforts of young organic leaders in Asia.
