In 2024, Messe Düsseldorf creates new growth structure in Asia by uniting its five Asian subsidiaries in one centrally coordinated network: the new regional hub “Messe Düsseldorf for Asia” (MDfA).  Following the integration, in September, the Group united company’s seven Asian healthcare trade fairs under the umbrella of MEDICARE ASIA headquartered in Singapore. This move reflects the main mission of MEDICARE ASIA: Opening up promising new markets for the healthcare industry, creating even stronger marketplaces in Asia and attracting more Asian companies to the global leading trade fairs MEDICA, COMPAMED, and REHACARE in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Messe Düsseldorf Group maintains a strong presence in China with offices strategically located in Shanghai, Beijing, and Hong Kong. When it comes to the number of employees, the Chinese subsidiaries (Messe Düsseldorf Shanghai & Messe Düsseldorf China) have emerged as the largest within the Messe Düsseldorf Group's global network. By streamlining the decision-making processes and enhancing synergies within the MDfA structure, the team can respond more swiftly to market demands and customer needs. This agility allows the company to capitalize on emerging opportunities and strengthen the competitive edge in the Chinese market.

Marius Berlemann, Chief Operating Officer of Messe Düsseldorf Group, commented:“The expansion of trade shows beyond Germany, particularly in Asia with China at the forefront, is a testament to the region's dynamic growth. We remain steadfast in our confidence in the Chinese market, recognizing its immense potential to invigorate the industry with vitality. The establishment of Messe Düsseldorf for Asia (MDfA) and the launch of the MEDICARE ASIA umbrella in 2024 have already demonstrated their potential by fostering synergies and unlocking new opportunities across the region.”
